Internal Booking System: How to Use

We’re excited to roll out our new internal booking system — built to simplify how you manage interviews on AppStoreResearch. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.
With the new booking system, everything from scheduling to hosting and getting paid now happens within the platform. No more juggling tools like Google Calendar or Calendly.
You’ll notice two new tabs at the top of your dashboard:
Bookings — where you can see upcoming sessions
Availability — where you set your availability for calls
Step 1: Connect Your Google Calendar (Optional)

Connecting your Google Calendar is completely optional. If you don’t have one or prefer not to connect it, that’s perfectly fine.
However, keep in mind that connecting your calendar enables you to:
Prevent double bookings
Automatically sync scheduled calls to your calendar
Step 2: Set Your Availability

Go to the Availability tab to define when participants can book calls with you.
You can:
Select specific days and time slots when you're available
Mark entire days as unavailable if needed
Update your availability anytime
These settings apply to all your active and future projects.
Step 3: Create a Project
Once your project is published and receiving applications:
Review and select participants
Selected participants will be able to book a time with you based on your availability
All bookings will be visible under the Bookings tab
Need to reschedule or cancel?
Use the chat to coordinate with the participant
Ensure the participant confirms any proposed changes
Remember: No cancellations or reschedules are allowed within 24 hours of the meeting. In urgent cases, contact the participant and our support team to help coordinate: hello@appstoreresearch.com or via the Live Chat.
Step 4: Join the Call
Go to the Bookings tab to access your upcoming interviews.
The Start Session link is available immediately — feel free to start early if both parties agree
A session is marked completed when both you and the participant join and exit the call
Pro tip: Avoid leaving the call early — let the participant finish and exit first to ensure smooth tracking.
Step 5: Payment
After your meeting:
You can manually mark the session as completed to trigger instant payment
If not marked manually, payment will be sent automatically after 48 hours

Step 6: Leave a Review
After the call, take a moment to review your experience with the participant:
Share a public review visible to other researchers
Submit a private note, visible only to the participant
Your feedback helps improve the quality of interviews across the platform.
